Florida 2013 Bucket List

There's a few things I'd like to do while out in Florida. Hopefully I'll tick them all off! I'll try!

  1. Get portrait drawn (about $35-40) in New Orleans Sq
  2. Go to 5 Guys burgers (off property) - In New York
  3. Do each ride at least once - all rides done but not necessarily all attractions.
  4. Photos with each of the fab 5 - Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto.
  5. Visit all Disney resort hotels - I did most, but not all!
  6. Try a dole whip - DONE
  7. See Festival of the Lion King. - DONE
  8. See fireworks at each park - Wishes, Illuminations, Fantasmic
  9. See each parade at each park (incl nighttime)
  10. See trolley show at MK - Saw a bit during traditions but not the full thing.
  11. See rope drop at MK  - DONE
  12. Meet Push: The Talking Trash Can - DONE
  13. Ride the monorail - DONE
  14. Ride the Ferry Boats- DONE
  15. Do Test Track in regular queue once - DONE
  16. Do Expedition Everest in regular queue once
  17. Ride Big Thunder Mountain during the fireworks - DONE
  18. Eat a turkey leg - I didn't realise these were so expensive!
  19. Try 50s Prime Time Cafe
  20. Draw at Animation Academy
  21. See each of the shows at least once at all parks (major shows) - All seen except Lights, Motors, Actions! but I've seen that in Paris. 
  22. Visit all pavilions at EPCOT and try something to eat from every country
  23. Do the same ride at least 3x in a row - DONE (Big Thunder Mountain)
  24. Go to at least 1 of the Disney water parks
  25. Go to DisneyQuest
  26. Admire paintings you'll never be able to afford at The Art of Disney 
  27. Get an exclusive pin and vinylmation (incl cast pins)
  28. Go to all four parks in one day, ride 3 rides in each, meet a character in each and eat something in each - I managed to get 3 parks done with a couple of rides but no characters.
  29. Get autographs from at least 1 character
  30. Do a character meal
  31. Use Cast Member discount for hotel - DONE
  32. Do one of the cast backstage tours (free or low cost)
  33. Visit Seaworld and ride all the rides there and see all the shows
  34. Go to Discovery Cove (free seaworld tickets included, $199 for florida residents)
  35. Visit both Universal Parks and Citywalk - DONE
  36. Get an Universal annual pass - DONE
  37. Go on a night out in Orlando
  38. Attend at least 3 cast member housing events - Two attended - welcome party and graduation event
  39. Play minigolf
  40. Get a Disney Dollar
  41. Get first time visit pin/button - DONE
  42. Get Mary Poppins to say supercali... backwards and record it
  43. See the Water Pageant on Seven Seas Lagoon - Seen partially on 29th June and 14th July.
  44. Get a Haircut at Barbershop on Main St. in Magic Kingdom
  45. Do a horse drawn carriage ride at Fort Wilderness resort or go horse riding!
  46. Eat a Kitchen Sink and finish it (as a group, not alone)
  47. Get a photo on an empty-ish Main Street USA.
  48. See a Dinner Show, such as Hoop de Doo musical review
  49. Keep my WDW name tag (couldn't at DLP)
  50. Collect all FASTPASSes

It’s been about six weeks since the end of my Disney World International College Program contract and I thought I’d write a retrospective piece summing up my experience. I’m going to very quickly get those of you who didn’t read my blog up to speed. Hi, I’m Gio from the UK and this Summer (2013) I participated in the International College Program at Walt Disney World. I was an attractions cast member working at Mickey’s Philharmagic and Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel in the Magic Kingdom. My program was about ten weeks long and I successfully completed it. I had already done one set of working for Disney back in 2011 at Disneyland Paris and I suppose to some extent I expected my ICP to be very similar, but longer. I was prepared for more heat, for more guests and (hopefully!) less of a language barrier in the US. London: Things to do and Events in February Chinese New Year Image: Paul (Flickr) 18th February 2018 Although Chinese New Year itself is on the 8th February in 2016, the celebrations will be held on the subsequent weekend.  You can celebrate the start of the Year of the Monkey all around the West End with events held on Trafalgar Square and Chinatown from 10:00 to 18:00. London’s Chinese New Year celebrations are the largest outside Asia, with parades, performances and fireworks.  At 10:00 a large lion parade makes its way from Trafalgar Square to Chinatown; from 12:00 onwards stage performances are held; and at 17:20 the grand finale begins as dancers and acrobats take to the stage, and pyrotechnics illuminate Nelson’s Column.
