Also known as The Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, this astounding Catholic Church dates from 1884 and is worth popping your head in for a few minutes to see.

It is very similar in style to classic Italian basilicas. From the stunning High Altar to St. Wilfred’s Chapel, and the beautiful dome to the pulpit, there is a gem around every corner inside.

This is a real working church, and it is not at all a major visitor attraction, so do bear that in mind when visiting. Feel free to attend a service if you are so inclined.

The church is located right next door to the the Victoria & Albert Museum.
