London: West End and Trafalgar Square Neighbourhood Guide

The West End is the heart of London’s nightlife scene, with bars, clubs and pubs abound in this area. Soho, in particular, is the bohemian district of London.

The West End is home to over 55 theatres (more that anywhere else in the world) and provides a huge array of dining experiences. Leicester Square in the heart of the area is home to red-carpet film premieres. Chinatown is also in this area.

Mayfair is also located nearby, the home of multi-millionaires and billionaires, with house prices regularly topping £40 million. Take a stroll through Mayfair and see the beautiful buildings, with luxury shopping in New Bond Street and Old Bond Street, the beautiful area of Shepherd’s Market, and Mount Street with luxury boutiques. More affordable high-street style shopping can be found on Regent Street and Oxford Street.

For cultural delights, head to Trafalgar Square and take in the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery – both of which are free.

As you can see, there is a good chance you will be spending quite a while in this area of London.
