Looking at the previous listings in this shopping section, you would be forgiven for thinking that Londoners are bigger fans of shopping streets than shopping centres.
However, the prospect of air-conditioned, indoor shopping where everything is in one place has become more and more appealing.
Today, Westfield owns two large shopping centres, on the eastern and western ends of central London. Both are excellent choices for shopping and feature national and international brands.
The differentiation between the two shopping centres is minimal. The London (White City) location features 372 stores over five levels, whereas the Stratford City location features 350 stores over three levels. The Stratford City location is the largest urban shopping centre in Europe. Both locations feature a multi-screen cinema, and the Stratford City location also has a casino and a bowling alley. In addition, the Stratford City Westfield is directly connected to the Olympic Park.
Although shops close at a set time at both Westfield shopping centres, the restaurants and other entertainment options are open later.
