Banqueting House is the only surviving part of the old Whitehall Palace that once spanned the length of the road now called Whitehall. Almost all of Whitehall Palace burnt down in a 1698 fire; only Banqueting House remains.

From the art and sculptures, to the stunning interiors, and even the site of King Charles I’s execution, Banqueting House is definitely worth a visit.

Each year, on 30th January a service in Banqueting House remembers the execution of King Charles I.

Things is one of our favourite hidden gems in London - hidden in plain sight.
