Explore this faithful reconstruction of Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, opened in 1997, and designed to look as close to the original 1599 Globe as possible.

Inside you can enjoy live Shakespearean shows, explore the exhibition, and tour the building itself. The exhibition allows you to learn more about the Bard himself, including where he lived and who he wrote for initially. You also get an insight into the original Globe’s construction and use.

An audio guide is available for the exhibitions in several different languages, and is included in the entry cost.

The tours of the building will explore the concept of the original Globe, the reconstruction process, and how it used to be a busy, real working theatre. Tours leave every 30 minutes and come highly recommended.

Shows are also available to see at the Globe. These are covered later in this guide in our theatre section. Shakespeare fans should be sure to watch one of these.
Tickets prices listed include entry to both the exhibition and tour.
