An absolute gem of a museum that shouldn’t be missed. We like to think of the V and A as London’s Musée du Louvre in terms of grandeur and variety of exhibitions.

Collections include architecture, books, ceramics, fashion, furniture, painting, textiles and much more. A particularly large collection of items from 1600 to 1850 are also on display.

Many temporary exhibitions are offered throughout the year too – these require an entry fee.

It is not really a location we would take children to as there is not very much to stimulate their senses, but adults of all ages will appreciate the wonder of the V and A.

The building, courtyard and exhibitions are delightful and we highly recommend a visit.
