The Shard is an impressive structure. Standing at 1016-feet (310m) tall, it dominates London’s skyline, and is the tallest building in the European Union. Towards the top of The Shard (244m up) is a viewing gallery. From here you can to see up to 40 miles away.

The experience starts as soon as you step foot in the building with the “kaleidoscopic” lifts transporting you to Level 69 in seconds. At the top you can explore the city from the indoor levels, or carry on up to the outdoor viewing platforms at Level 72 to get a true sense of how high up you are.

A complimentary multimedia guide and high-tech telescopes tell you about the history of the area, as well as details about key buildings and structures you can see today.

We have to admit, the views from the top are simply stunning and really give you a scale of London. It is a very impressive experience and feels very premium – the sense of being so high up is unlike anything else in the city.

Uniquely, they even offer a “London Landmarks Guarantee”, which allows you to return within 3 months if you can’t see select monuments during your visit due to bad weather.
As well as the standard single entry ticket, The View from The Shard also offers a “Day and Night” ticket with one visit at daytime, and again once the sun has set. This ticket is an upcharge of £10.

Tickets for The View from The Shard are based on a 30-minute entry time slot. Once at the top, you can spend all long as you want admiring the view. Allow 45 minutes to an hour for the full experience.
