The Road to Disneyland Paris: Less than 2 weeks to go

Hi everyone,

So my work contract was sent off and Disney has got back to me with a confirmation email along with some repeated details of what to do on the first day which is useful. As a new Cast Member I will be attending Traditions and Orientation which means I do not contact my area of work directly. I will get more info about my first actual day of work when I arrive or by email on or before the 10th December.

I still have until Monday the 5th to back out if I wish so there's no huge pressure - but after booking travel and hotels for my family, I don't think so. Plus of course, I am massively looking forward to this.

A list of documents to bring was attached:

  • Signed contract
  • Signed housing contract
  • Map to Fantasia (housing) building.
  • ID card + 2 copies
  • Travel refund form plus originals of tickets
  • Bank account number - IBAN
  • Vaccination book and/or health records
  • Black shoes and black socks

So very, very soon I shall be in Paris! A bientot!

A post reminiscing about the Walt Disney World International College Program

It’s been about six weeks since the end of my Disney World International College Program contract and I thought I’d write a retrospective piece summing up my experience. I’m going to very quickly get those of you who didn’t read my blog up to speed. Hi, I’m Gio from the UK and this Summer (2013) I participated in the International College Program at Walt Disney World. I was an attractions cast member working at Mickey’s Philharmagic and Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel in the Magic Kingdom. My program was about ten weeks long and I successfully completed it. London: Things to do and Events in February Chinese New Year Image: Paul (Flickr) 18th February 2018 Although Chinese New Year itself is on the 8th February in 2016, the celebrations will be held on the subsequent weekend.  You can celebrate the start of the Year of the Monkey all around the West End with events held on Trafalgar Square and Chinatown from 10:00 to 18:00. London’s Chinese New Year celebrations are the largest outside Asia, with parades, performances and fireworks.  At 10:00 a large lion parade makes its way from Trafalgar Square to Chinatown; from 12:00 onwards stage performances are held; and at 17:20 the grand finale begins as dancers and acrobats take to the stage, and pyrotechnics illuminate Nelson’s Column.
