Covent Garden is a popular visitor destination, with shopping in every direction you look and pedestrianised areas. The area is in the heart of Theatreland, and ideal for post- or pre-theatre shopping and dining.

Covent Garden started life in 1654 as an open vegetable and fruit market in the southern part of the square. The square is still the heart of the area but shops are now on all the surrounding streets too. Under the square’s central roof, you will find a split-level set of shops with many small boutiques present.

Big international brands are also on the square, such as the likes of Apple, Barbour and Chanel.

We love the ambiance of Covent Garden. The times listed are general opening times and individual shop hours vary.
