The London Dungeon has been a staple of the city since 1974, and moved to County Hall in 2012.

With its relocation, came the addition of new scenes, the change of others. Throughout the adventure you will take a boat ride for traitors, ‘drop in’ on some hangings, experience Sweeney Todd’s barber shop, learn Guy Fawkes, feel what its like to visit a Plague Doctor, encounter Jack the Ripper, and much more. A Victorian Tavern at the end allows you to enjoy a complimentary drink too!

Inside, guests are put into groups of about 20 people at a time and are taken from scene to scene. Each scene depicts a period or event from London’s gruesome past and uses audience interaction to bring it to life. As well as the scenes with actors, there are also a couple of rides interspersed during the experience. Special physical effects throughout the attraction add to the fun.

The full experience lasts approximately 110 minutes and is not recommended for the squeamish – it is not a ‘jump out’ horror-maze type attraction, and you will learn quite a bit, but wimps should beware. Teenagers and young adults in particular are the biggest fans of this attraction.

This attraction operates on a time-slot ticketed system, if tickets are pre-booked. On the door tickets are more expensive and will require you to enter a queue, which can be an hour or more during peak times. Fast track and VIP tickets are also available. It’s been about six weeks since the end of my Disney World International College Program contract and I thought I’d write a retrospective piece summing up my experience. I’m going to very quickly get those of you who didn’t read my blog up to speed. I had already done one set of working for Disney back in 2011 at Disneyland Paris and I suppose to some extent I expected my ICP to be very similar, but longer. London: Things to do and Events in February Chinese New Year Image: Paul (Flickr) 18th February 2018 Although Chinese New Year itself is on the 8th February in 2016, the celebrations will be held on the subsequent weekend.  You can celebrate the start of the Year of the Monkey all around the West End with events held on Trafalgar Square and Chinatown from 10:00 to 18:00. London’s Chinese New Year celebrations are the largest outside Asia, with parades, performances and fireworks.  At 10:00 a large lion parade makes its way from Trafalgar Square to Chinatown; from 12:00 onwards stage performances are held; and at 17:20 the grand finale begins as dancers and acrobats take to the stage, and pyrotechnics illuminate Nelson’s Column.
