Typical opening hours: 24/7 – Public area. Richmond Park has limited opening hours in November and February during the deer cull – at this time the park is open from 7:30 to 20:00. Bushy Park also has limited opening hours in September and November – they are 8:00 to 22:30, Monday to Friday.

Both Bushy Park and Richmond Parks are free to enter, and they feel like you are a world away from a major capital city. Both parks are huge. Richmond Park spans 2360 acres, whereas Bushy Park measures some 1099 acres. They are the two largest royal parks in London and are a short walk from each other.

At Richmond Park, you can enjoy the Isabella Plantation which contains exotic plants; wildlife such as 650 wild deer, trees and birds; King Henry’s Mound with views to St. Paul’s Cathedral; as well sports and leisure activities.

At Bushy Park, you can see the Diana Fountain; the tranquil Upper Water Lodge Gardens; the USAAF memorial; the wildlife, and more.
