London Zoo is regarded as the world’s oldest zoo, having opened in 1828. Housing over 19,000 animals of 800 different species, this is the largest collection of animals in London.

Whether you want to see seahorses in the aquarium, the lions on their African plains or the reptile enclosure where they filmed the first Harry Potter film, there is something here for everyone. Plus, there are a large variety of shows and talks throughout the day, as well as several dining locations to enjoy.

New is the Gir Lion Lodge, an opportunity to stay the night inside the zoo. Your stay includes breakfast and dinner, as well as zoo entry for two days and special guided events. Adults-only and family-friendly nights are offered. Rooms are for up to two adults, plus children. Prices range from £378 to £558.
